Rural tourism

Vallmajor is a large and very old Catalan country house which was totally restored in 2002.

At present the house is a residential country house, dedicated to rural tourism, aimed only at adult guests who are looking for relaxation and quiet in a natural environment.

The house has 6 rooms for guests, all of which are spacious, welcoming and comfortable; each room has central heating and a private bathroom.

Price of accommodation

The person per night price is for half board and lodging: 54 € (dinner, accommodation and breakfast), for stays of a minimum of two days.

During bank holidays, national holidays and single-night stays, a supplementary charge of: 6 € per person is applied.

Rooms for individual use (subject to availability) carry a supplementary charge of per night: 15 €.

Drinks and extras are not included in these prices.

All prices include 7% VAT.

There are many sporting, leisure and cultural options, separate from the activities with horses which we organise in Vallmajor eqüestre.

Equestrian tourism

Routes and treks on horseback are our main activity, and what marks the identity of Vallmajor eqüestre.

Through these routes we hope to promote the love and understanding for horses and the enjoyment of a natural environment.

Riding routes

Reservation is required.

Our riding routes are suitable for all types of rider, from first-timers to experienced riders. On all routes the riders take care and help prepare the horses, receiving all the necessary information.

Prices for horseback routes per person (7 % VAT included)

• Half day: 35 €, (Adapted to all riding levels)
• Full day (picnic included): 70 €, (Only to experienced riders)

Riding trails

We have an annual programme of routes and trips on horseback, with fixed dates, all aimed at experienced riders.

The program is based on six days/five nights. Possibility to book additional nights on request.

Every day we will ride between 5 and 7 hours. The program combine the full day rides around Vallmajor eqüestre area with a two days itinerary trail.

We will be journeying through the mountainous landscape of our region, the Alta Garrotxa.

We will be passing by traditional farmhouses, some inhabited, others abandoned, small villages, Romanesque churches and hermitages, we will be climbing mountains, descending into valleys, crossing rivers, resting and dining in natural surroundings.

Nights out of Vallmajor eqüestre will be spent in houses selected for their location on the route, the surrounding scenery and their owners' way of life.

To take part in this activity you must be able to walk, trot and gallop outdoors, and know the basic principles of horse care.
