Apart from the activities on horseback and the pleasant walks which the surroundings offer (woods and river, etc.), the leisure alternatives to be found near Vallmajor eqüestre are many and varied.
Vallmajor is located in the Area of Natural Interest of the Alta Garrotxa, in the gateway to the Western Pyrenees. The county of the Alta Garrotxa is considered to be one of the best cared areas of Catalonia, where flora and fauna are still to be found in their natural state, having avoided the effects of mass civilisation.
Another visit of interest is the unique Natural Park of the Volcanic Area of the Garrotxa; have you ever been inside the crater of a volcano? Within the natural Park are spots such as La Fageda d'en Jordà, the most important beech forest of Catalonia, and the only one of its kind in Europe which extends over volcanic land, with its lava blocks still visible.
Castellfollit de la Roca offers another unique spectacle: a basalt promontory, of 1km in length with a height of 50m, topped by the houses of the town, some of which have been built at the very edge of the precipice.
Other notable points of interest are: the lake of Banyoles, the valleys of Camprodon, the mountains of Rocacorba, the mountain ranges of Milany-Santa Magdalena and Puigsacalm-Bellmunt, and the Collsacabra region. Visits to the Valley of Núria are also possible.
There are around 51 Romanesque churches in the Alta Garrotxa, dating from the 10th and 14th centuries. Other representations of the Catalan Romanesque heritage are:

The Dalí Museum, in Figueres, or the mansion-castle of Púbol are some 40 minutes away.

There are an almost infinite number of local fairs and reunions or aplecs in different towns and churches in the surrounding district.
For keen cyclists, the old railway line between Girona and Olot is today "El Carrilet", a track which also connects with the green track which goes from Girona to Sant Feliu, on the Costa Brava. A total of 93 km re-surfaced for bike rides, following the old train track between valleys, tunnels and bridges.
As for mountain walking and trekking, there is a large number of options. The walking paths of the senders de gran recorregut GR-1 and the Trans-Pyrenean GR-11 pass close to Vallmajor eqüestre on their way through the Alta Garrotxa. There are also routes in the Natural Park of the Volcanic Area itself for example.
Those keen on golf have two close areas by where they can practice the sport: the 18 hole course of Torremirona and Golf Camprodón.
Sadernes is the start for many routes through the Alta Garrotxa; where climbing and canyoning activities also take place, all of this at some 4 Km. from Vallmajor.
Canoeing and rowing in the lake of Banyoles, host to the rowing competitions of the Olympic Games of Barcelona'92, and of the Mundiales de Remo de 2004 (from the 27th of July to the 1st of August).
A notable European parachuting centre can be found an hour away from Vallmajor, in Empuriabrava.
Skiing is also possible near Vallmajor, in Vallter 2000.
In the neighbouring River Llierca you will be able to find many great spots to cool off in.
During the summer months, another option for swimming is the Montagut municipal swimming pool.
You also have the chance to enjoy a hot air balloon ride in Santa Pau, close to Vallmajor.
The beaches of the Costa Brava and the High Empordà are an hour's drive away from Vallmajor.
Finally, guests have the choice of the entire cultural and leisure activities of cities such as Olot, Girona (30 min.) and Barcelona (1hr 30 min.).
